Delete pages from a PDF

Removing blank pages from a scan, trimming a report of its internal appendices before distribution, dropping a superfluous terms page: simply list the pages to remove — numbers or ranges, for example “2, 5-6” — and get a lighter PDF back. The tool rewrites the document without the listed pages; the source file is never modified. To remove pages while seeing them, the “Organize pages” tool offers a thumbnail view with one-click deletion. Processing is fully local. Also consider the inverse case: to keep only a few pages of a long document, extraction (“Extract pages”) is more direct than deleting everything else.

FAQ

How do I list the pages to delete?

As numbers or ranges separated by commas: “2, 5-6” removes page 2 and pages 5 to 6. Remaining pages keep their original order.

Is the source document modified?

No. A new PDF is generated without the listed pages; your starting file stays intact — you can start over with another selection.

Can I see the pages before removing them?

If you prefer identifying pages visually, use “Organize PDF pages”: each page is shown as a thumbnail and deleted with a click.

What limits apply?

A document of 50 MB maximum and up to 1,000 pages. At least one page must remain after deletion.

Are deleted pages still recoverable in the file?

No: the produced PDF no longer contains the removed pages — they are neither masked nor merely flagged. Keep the source file if you need to go back.

Can I delete the first and last page?

Yes — “1, 8” on an 8-page document, or any combination of numbers and ranges; at least one page must simply remain.

Can I undo if I pick the wrong numbers?

Nothing is written before download: adjust the list and run again; the source file is never modified anyway.

Can I remove a whole range?

Yes — a range like “10-24” deletes all pages in that interval in one operation.

Can I mix single pages and ranges?

Yes — combine them in the same selection (e.g. “3, 10-24, 48”): every listed page is removed in one pass and the remaining pages keep their original order.

Delete or extract — which should I use?

Delete when you remove a few pages and keep the rest; extract (“Extract pages”) when you keep only a few pages of a long document — selection drives the choice, not the other way round.

Is the source file modified?

Never — the tool writes a new PDF without the listed pages; the original stays intact on your device, so a wrong selection is fixed by re-running, not repairing.

What are the limits?

One file up to 50 MB and 1,000 pages — the full document is held in memory in your browser. For a heavier file, split it first then delete within the parts.

Can I delete pages from an encrypted PDF?

Not directly — encryption blocks reading the document. Unlock it first with its password via “Unlock a PDF”, then remove the pages from the copy obtained.

Is the document uploaded for deletion?

No — the new PDF is assembled locally in your browser: the pages you keep never leave your device, and neither do the ones you remove.

Can I undo a deletion after download?

The source file is never modified — the tool writes a new PDF without the listed pages. To change the selection, reload the original and adjust the page list, or use Organize pages for thumbnail-level control.

How to proceed

  1. Drop your PDF into the upload area
  2. List the pages to delete (e.g. “2, 5-6”)
  3. Download the new lighter PDF
  4. Check the remaining page count before downloading
